# AccessLens 3F.2 — candidate-approved browser autofill (prototype)

This milestone adds a Chrome Manifest V3 extension in `extension/`.

## Run

1. Stop the previous local server. In Terminal: `cd ~/Desktop/accesslens-3f2 && python3 server.py`.
2. Open `http://127.0.0.1:8780/jobs.html?v=3f2`.
3. In Chrome open `chrome://extensions`, enable **Developer mode**, click **Load unpacked**, select the `extension` folder inside `accesslens-3f2`.
4. In AccessLens choose a job and open its employer application page. Verify the job title/company on the destination site.
5. Click the AccessLens extension icon, enter candidate details, click **Fill matching fields**. Review every field, attach the resume manually, answer screening questions, and submit manually on the employer site.
6. Return to AccessLens and mark Applied only after the employer confirms submission.

## Limitations and safety

- The extension works only when invoked by the candidate on the active HTTP(S) tab. It has no persistent website permissions or background scraping.
- Fills recognized **empty text fields only** (name, email, phone, LinkedIn, location, notice period). Does not overwrite existing values, interact with CAPTCHA, select dropdowns, upload files, click submit, or bypass authentication.
- Many React/custom/iframe/shadow-DOM forms may not work. Browser field-label heuristics may be wrong; inspect all values before submitting.
- Extension candidate details are stored in Chrome extension local storage if you click Save; use Clear details to remove them. This is separate from AccessLens browser localStorage.
- No verified LinkedIn/Workday/Greenhouse integration; do not claim that a particular platform is supported without testing it.
- Do not install unpacked extensions from untrusted sources. This is local prototype code, not a published or security-audited extension.
