# AccessLens 5.0E — dropdown interaction patch

Updates `visual_controls.py` to handle more dropdown patterns (native select, ARIA combobox, aria-haspopup listbox, and common list item option containers). Attempts an in-menu search when options are not initially visible, then checks the selected value. Country and dial code are the only automatically selected values, sourced from approved candidate profile data. Gender, military service, and declarations remain candidate-controlled. No application submission.

**Limitations:** This is not screenshot-driven reasoning and cannot guarantee support for bespoke employer controls. A control remains unresolved unless the selected value can be read back. Test using Applied Materials and inspect the review panel; do not submit without reviewing the employer form.
